Before ANY Permanent Makeup Procedure:
- Day of Procedure - refrain from exercise and minimize caffeine.
- For 24 hours before - Refrain from judgment-altering drugs for at least 24 hours prior to any procedure. No medication should ever be discontinued without first consulting your physician.
- For 24-48 hours before - Refrain from consuming alcohol, fish oil supplements, aspirin, aspirin-containing medications, ibuprofen or any other blood-thinning medications. You may use Tylenol.
- 48 hours before:
- Tweezing/ Waxing/Electrolysis - Any tweezing or waxing should be done at least 48 hours before the procedure; electrolysis no less than five days before. After the procedure, light tweezing is ok outside of the treatment area, but do not resume any other method of hair removal for at least two weeks.
- Curling or Tinting of eyebrows (or eyelashes for eyeliner procedures) should be done at least 48 hours before, or two weeks after the procedure.
- 5-7 days before - for eyebrow clients with OILY skin, cleanse your brows with rubbing alcohol twice a day for 5-7 days before procedures
- 2 weeks before:
- ABSOLUTELY NO tanning, sunbathing, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, mesotherapy, or any other intense skin treatment for 2 weeks prior to your procedure.
- Botox - With most procedures, it is preferred that Botox or any injectable to be performed AFTER all permanent make up is finalized and healed. If you have already had Botox or any other injectable, wait 2 weeks until getting permanent make up in the area that has been treated.
- For 30 days before - avoid ANY facial skin care product across the procedure area that contains anything to treat or prevent wrinkles, aging, acne, lightening, firming/tightening or oil-control.
Before Eyeliner Procedures:
EYELINER PROCEDURES - Additional Instructions:
- Day of procedure - Do not wear contact lenses during or immediately following the eyeliner procedure. Remember to bring your glasses. You may wear your contact lenses as soon as your eyes feel comfortable enough to do so.
- 48 hours prior to procedure - Eyelash Extensions MUST be removed at least 48 hours prior to the procedure.
- 1-2 weeks prior to procedure - Bromelain and Arnica Montana oral supplements (not topical gel) are HIGHLY recommended for 1-2 weeks prior and 1 week after all lip procedures. Take as directed on the package. You can either get these 2 supplements separately, or I highly recommend "brazzoMD Bromelain with Arnica Tablets" (found on Amazon) which both supplements are combined in one tablet, taken once per day. These supplements reduce trauma (bruising and swelling) and therefore, allow more pigment to be implanted into the skin and promote healing of the delicate skin. Once you start to swell, you will not retain any additional pigment and I must stop the procedure so these supplements are extremely helpful to your outcome. (Bromelain is also contained in fresh pineapple).
- 3-6 weeks prior to the procedure - Latisse (and Rodan & Fields lash product) must be discontinued 3-6 weeks prior to any eyeliner procedure. Any other brands of eyelash or eyebrow growth serums or conditioners should be discontinued 2 days prior to eyeliner procedures.
Before Lip Procedures:
LIP PROCEDURES - Additional Instructions:

- History of Cold Sores - If you have EVER had cold sores/fever blisters/herpes simplex, you must contact your physician to obtain the proper prescription to prevent such outbreaks.
